How to Stay up Past Bedtime

When Daddy asks what you want to do instead of going to bed, answer "Wanna sit with you!" Then you get to watch another half hour of DragonTales.


She's getting dangerous with her powers of persuasion...

Well, we had our first real time out today. Lily hit me when I told her she couldn't have a cookie. (I did offer another cracker and remind her that pizza would be ready soon.) I put her on a chair and she screamed and cried of course- I should have taken a picture, but I was having a hard time not running back to her and saying sorry for putting her in time out. :( Anyway, after a few minutes, we got her to say "Sorry" for the first time- which then got repeated for the next 3 minutes along with lots of love to Mommy. It was very cute!

Peanut Butter Fallout

Daniel was both pleased and horrified by the fallout from the PB & J sandwich he gave Lily today...

So happy! But what a mess!

Seafair 2011!

We decided to head to Seafair for our first time this year. It was super fun! The day started out a little gray, but as you can see below, it cleared up beautifully by the time the airshow started.

 Lily was a bit worried by the bi-plane, maybe because in trying to get her interested, I was asking her if it was going to fall when it got to the top of its vertical ascents ;) She was saying "Oh, no!"

 And, what we really came to see- the Blue Angels! They were very cool! However, they lost Lily's interest when we tried to use her headphones as earplugs- all she wanted to do was watch her "Ipoh" after that. Oh well, what can you expect from a 22 month old?

 

Will we go again? Yes, but definitely either earlier or paying for seats next time, our hilly piece of ground hurt by the end! It was a bit of a travel too- park at Qwest Field then take the light rail to a shuttle stop- which wasn't bad on the way there, but was a little difficult when it got bogged down in traffic on the way back- 45 minutes worth! That was too much for Lily after all the sun and crowds. Anyway, come visit us next year during Seafair and you'll really be in for a treat!

Sleepy girls

Adventures in Potty Training...

On the plus side, today she peed in the toilet.

The drawback was that she had already pooped in the tub.

In my defense, the reason I wasn't watching close enough to avert disaster was because I was scrubbing the bathroom floor, which badly needed it. And Lily has been getting some toilet experience before today...

Too Tired

This is what happens when you don't feel good enough to sleep well... You fall asleep in a laundry basket watching Tangled while mommy is on a teleconference for work...

Thankfully, we're headed to see the ENT very soon. Hopefully there will be a solution for all this pain.

Fort Worden

This weekend we decided to have an adventure and headed out to Fort Worden to check it out. We checked out the lighthouse and beach first. And didn't stay there too long since it was ~33mph winds...

Then we hiked up the hill- mostly protected from the wind to see the battlements. Lily was a little concerned about daddy going up the ladder.

There were some great views from the top though!

Future Piano Player

Yes, I know we've been missing from the blog world- its been a long 3 or four months for us... There were reoccurring ear infections, RSV, eye infections, ect... Thankfully, we're back to healthy (knock on wood) and I'm ready to post some pictures from our exploits. So don't be surprised when back dated posts show up. I like to keep the date of the picture right. Anyway, here's a couple images from tonight. Daniel is the new Primary pianist and was practicing a little and Lily pushed over a chair and HAD to join him. It was adorable!

New Dress!

Daddy picked out a new dress!! Didn't he do a good job? He found the coordinating tights too!

Had to include one with the book- I could barely get her to put it down to take the pictures! She really loves to hear & read stories!

We Love Jimmer!

We love us some BYU Basketball! Or at least our pretty outfits for it...

Since it looks like the game is putting her to sleep...

Finally!

We love when she sleeps! Especially since the ear infections have made it harder... And she's just so cute while she does it!

And, we still have snow- isn't that ridiculous?!
